Description

This Service delivers the (generic) user digital workspace. With it, many different variants of user workspaces can be modeled, including telephony solutions (that in some cases provides an additional workspace, dedicated to the application of telephony).

The goal of a User Workspace service is to give a human consumer of the service a means to interact with the digital world that's provided by ICT systems, in order to: consume, create or edit digital information, ranging from reading documents to streaming media, communicate or interact electronically with other humans and systems. While User Workspace implementations often use the desktop metaphor, OIAm's use of the term is not limited to facilities that can deliver the desktop experience. Other devices, such as mobile and wearable devices, may also be modelled, as long as both user input and output are present.
